Ramshackled

One strange night
All properties ever built
On the proceeds of the slave trade
Began to bleed, and graon
As though
They could all feel the shame
And pain
Of their existence
Palaces, buildings of worship, banks
From around the world
Unfurled
As each building cried
Before crumbling to dust
As then did money
As did weapons of war
This dust
Mixing with the dust
Of the long dead
And a million tortures
As all was then swept away
On a cold, and brutal wind
I then awoke
