Self love is crucial when you’re sexually active. Especially if you aren’t in a relationship. If you don’t have that, celibacy may be something you want to consider until you can love yourself wholeheartedly.

Lol, or celibacy can be a good cover story (in my case, especially) until someone good comes along that I so wanna _ _ _ _! (That was 'love' btw). I've been quite good at celibacy these last 7 years actually. 🙏

I echo Billy Snagg's comment and would respect any woman's right to say No. In my case I have been celibate lifelong, often for reasons beyond my control but I have been blessed with friendships among women. Good luck I say, as for some people summer is the time sexual 'opportunity' is ripest.

So much wisdom in this piece. Self love is so important as is setting boundaries and staying away from toxicity. And when you're in a vulnerable position chosing celibacy can be the wisest thing to do.

To choose to be celibate is a right that everyone has and for others it's not. The fact that I write erotic poems and stories I try to portray that we all have a choice what we will allow to be done to our bodies.
