Child Like prayer, Child Like Faith

I've fallen short, many times,I have failed to obey
in my actions, deeds and thoughts, or simply what I say
I look for absolution Lord, so I turn to you and pray
your compassion, grace and mercy, are new to us each day

Your generous forgiveness, it's so hard to comprehend
The fullness of Your love and grace, such a Holy blend
You were there in the beginning, in You there is no end
Confess our sins, release the chains, this You recommend

How can I obtain this love, without fear of being struck down
This immeasurable forgiveness and not feel like a clown
I seek Your revelations, and goodness of Your crown
I want to rid myself of fear and guilt, that in me does abound

I desire the Holy Spirt, for He is all steadfast
but weighty sins I carry, from not so distant past
and yet I will repent, but I fear they're not my last
Your mercy is abundant and forgiveness is what Ive asked

Lord please hear this prayer of mine, though I am not worthy
I seek to follow you Jesus, not the things we see as earthly
Your love is so abundant, you give endless grace and mercy
Your holiness is 3 in 1, in me makes you praiseworthy
