Something from Space

it hasn't rained for a long time
green grass has turned to hay
the future looks bright but is very dim
there's no rain coming this way

a storm on the Sun with a CME
electrically slipping through space
flowed through the poles to ground and the sea
the atmosphere in its embrace

changing what was to what is to be
warm and dry all around
still mountain streams flow into the sea
where most of Earth's water is found

in the embrace of something from space
molecular patterns are moved
evaporation's changed concentrations
no longer in yesterday's groove

we are touched too, both me and you
as is everyone everywhere
in the embrace of something from space
something that's in the air....
