I was commissioned to photograph almost every abandoned mill in three counties in North Carolina. The energy in them is remarkable. You breathe their history as though you lived it.
I used to do a lot of urbex. Mostly stealth & trespassing. Here in the States it is always an exercise in those dark & dusty places forlorn..."ancient ruins" that were often abandoned during the lifetime of the explorer. Truly ancient ruins would be whole new experience for me....ironically enough lol. Worth the preservation, and the ghosts will appreciate the company.
