THE HIDDEN INFERNO (2)

IN
an energized voice
I heard, "Take your coat
off and relax while I mix
us a drink...let me surprise
you with my favorite...why
don't you find us some
music on the I-phone, Okay?"
Shocked by the new personality
and openness I replied, "Yes,
I will... thank you."
Handing me the drink, making
eye contact and soft words, "Salute
to us my friend."
Salute to us? OMG what was happening.
After several more drinks, each stronger
than the last the words were becoming more
personal. I almost fainted when my hand
was taken and the words "Shall we dance?"
were uttered. Drunk on surprise I accepted
the embrace to dance...
THE
room was spinning... the scent of our
faces touching...and as if taken control
by a force outside myself our mouths
met in a gentle, deep, and passionate
kiss...I quickly, but reluctantly, pulled
back...staring at each other our
eyes locked ....
