For My Husband on Our Anniversary
Inside my mouth is the ocean's heart,
A briny drop of the ancient start,
Where life unfurled from depths unseen,
A taste of time, both sharp and keen.
Your kiss, my love, is salt and sweet,
A confluence where two souls meet,
Tears and sweat, the love we've sown,
In love’s embrace, our truths are known.
Beneath your touch, I am transformed,
Not just a wife, but spirit warmed,
We ride the waves of primal seas,
In this dance, we move with ease.
I am the tide, you are the moon,
In our marriage bed our bodies swoon,
Together, we're a boundless force,
On this shared, celestial course.
We are the pulse, the ebb, the flow,
The ancient currents that still come and go,
Through every beat and every breath,
In life, we love, and even death.
So hold me close, my dearest one,
Until our earthly time is done,
For in this bond, we're ever free,
Part of life’s eternal sea.
A briny drop of the ancient start,
Where life unfurled from depths unseen,
A taste of time, both sharp and keen.
Your kiss, my love, is salt and sweet,
A confluence where two souls meet,
Tears and sweat, the love we've sown,
In love’s embrace, our truths are known.
Beneath your touch, I am transformed,
Not just a wife, but spirit warmed,
We ride the waves of primal seas,
In this dance, we move with ease.
I am the tide, you are the moon,
In our marriage bed our bodies swoon,
Together, we're a boundless force,
On this shared, celestial course.
We are the pulse, the ebb, the flow,
The ancient currents that still come and go,
Through every beat and every breath,
In life, we love, and even death.

Until our earthly time is done,
For in this bond, we're ever free,
Part of life’s eternal sea.
