First experience at Six Flags Great Adventure
In July this will mark the 40th anniversary of my 1st time at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson New Jersey.
Prior to Great Adventure, I had some experience with Amusement Parks. My parents and grandparents have taken me to Adventureland in Farmingdale Long Island since 1980. My first roller coaster experience was there in 1982. Accompanied by my father, I rode a coaster called the Galaxy. A simplistic, figure 8 coaster that hit speeds of 30 mph. At that time, I thought it was the greatest thing on Earth!

The Poetry Won’t Bring You Back
Pouring over these former letters
Reactivating the potency of my emotions
How do I keep the memory of you alive
What good is it to look in rearview
I can’t help but reminisce again
When every word is a snapshot from my heart
Writing to commemorate, honor, and ache for you
Another letter, another year, another moment I feel the lack
So many words to express my love
Yet no matter what I say, the poetry won’t bring you back
Speaking like floral arrangements at the grave of another memory
When there’s so much I wish you...

Still The One
Does practice make perfect love?
When we’re two imperfect people no less perfect for each other
Enchantments and apologetics of
All the ways that I try and fail as a lover
Words like paper weights outline my heart in ink
Trying to transcribe all that you mean to me
Interpreting these emotions too deep to convey in all I think
When your beauty is more than just what’s at the surface of all there is to see
More than just the girl of my dreams but the angel of my awakening
Our hearts are knit of a common thread into the fabric of a life...

Rest In Peace, Mom - Part VII
Wednesday was your least favorite day and you died on a Wednesday.
After living for sixty-four years, you became sick and you passed away.
The eleventh anniversary of your death is on your least favorite day of the week.
I thought things were fine at first but then I learned that your situation was bleak.
When you went to the hospital, you had to go under the knife.
The surgeon tried his very best but he could not save your life.
He operated on your stomach and your leg had to be amputated.
But you still died and when I found you dead, I was devastated. ...

TO MY GIRLFRIEND ll
Words do fall short when I am trying to express my feelings in this written language. But anyway come to Daddy and listen to all his confessions. From the very first moment we crossed paths, I felt a connection that surpassed the ordinary; It was magical how our souls entwined, like strings on a musical instrument we aligned. they say real recognize real; it was my soul that run to yours on that day, i recooo... Aghh🤦🏽♂️ a story that cannot be understood. There is one thing that is certain and true; Your presence is a constant source of comfort, just like a...

Anniversary
Love is a song
That I shall sing
Love is a gift
That I shall bring
Love is the tears
That fall from my face
Love is the memories
I can’t erase
We raised a child
Then there were two
When I look in their eyes
I think of you
A few years behind us
Many more ahead
Our marriage is more
Than just sharing a bed
So, I raise my glass
To offer a toast
To the one I care about
The very most
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

The Number 18
Number 18 is a number etched on the skin
a parchment of smiles through tears
a number, simple but never forgotten
written on the scabs of old wounds
18th of November a path to glory was hoed
furrowed flesh won't ever hurt as much
or whispered goodbye and signs in the cloud
of oncoming storm of soul in death's clutch
remembering the name in the echoes of time
torch burning bright like a bush aflame
18 evoke regrets and what could have been
thus memories albums are flipped through again

To Cartageña, With Eternal Love
To Cartageña, With Eternal Love
“Marlon, I sewed your pocket.
Why not fill it up with tips?”
“My ancestors fought
In the war of liberation from Spain.”
“What in the world does that have to do with you in the present?
At least you could tell the Americans
That we don’t have welfare in Columbia
And that tips are appreciated.”
“Our pantry is always well stocked.
There is no need to abase myself for pennies.”
“You are the best tour guide in this city.
You deserve a gratuity.”
“Most of them do anyway.
No need to...

A farmer's saplings.
A wooden plank
On which he once
Sat reading newspaper
Going to fish market
To bring freshman
Hilsa in the
Wales of cold
With ID card
Of a post man.
With coffee break
Of his friends.
Handing a new
News of red Dracula.
And grappling a toffee
On way to water
A saplings
Of nest and grest
In wild woods in ant.

Pudding moon.
We walked the
Night green
Maple leaves
Falling in her
Breast.
She plunges
Feels the fern
With an apple
We made love
Under same skyline
Mapping woods
Worckhart.

Flowers Episode 1: Soul Soldier
I was humbled
When she first uttered those words
Out loud..in a crowd full of poets
Soul Soldier
Indeed I felt those weighted words
Egotistical yet introverted
I wasn't sure how to show my appreciation
Thus the apprehension
But as Time humbles
I see what she always saw
True and full of Blues
She understood my Soldier
The one that carries on in spite of myself
That lone Underdog
On a hill littered with convictions
Fighting for Love...for art
For my own humanity
Dodging...
