Thoughts On Comings and Goings
People come and go in this journey of life
Sometimes we feel upset about those no longer with us
I believe that when people leave our life its because the purpose has been served
Maybe we needed some love or support in that moment
Maybe there was a lesson that we needed to learn
We mustn't allow ourselves to be weighed down by these comings and goings
We must understand that not everyone is meant to be in our life forever
Some people are ships that cross our path on their own individual journey
The good ones should be held to memory
They prepare you for the things that are meant for you
They teach you how to appreciate the moments
They teach you how to live the moments
They teach you how to open yourself up to the moments
The moments that make a journey worth taking
The bad ones should be held to memory
They prepare you to face the things that aren't meant for you
They teach you where your strength lies
They teach you how to protect yourself
They teach you how to recognize signs
The signs that tell you that a journey is not worth taking
Its easy to get caught up in the why and how
The reasons that someone is no longer in our life
Its easy to cast blame, on them or ourselves
If something is meant to be, it will be
Nothing will change what is meant
No amount of mourning
No amount of reflection
No amount of blame
Will change the past
However, these things can help us learn to live in the now
They can help us prepare for the future
They can make sure that we are ready for what is meant for us
We should tap these experiences for tools and knowledge
Rather than allow them to anchor us in place
Sometimes we feel upset about those no longer with us
