ROADKILL TRAGEDY

When I First Saw You,,,You Were In Pieces,,,
Strewn All Along The Highway,,,And Four Lanes Deep,,,
And I Can't Help But Wonder,,,What You Used To Be,,,
And How You Became,,,A Roadkill Tragedy,,,

Maybe A Small Cow,,,A Goat,,,Or A Deer,,,
You Used To Have A Life,,,But Now Your Just A Smear,,,
And I Just Don't Know What You Were,,,Before You Fell,,,
But Judging From What's Left,,,I Really Just Can't Tell,,,

And With Every Passing Day,,,The Traffic Slowly Carries You Away,,,
And Pretty Soon You Will Be,,,Just A Memory,,,A Spot On The Road,,,
For All To See,,,To Remind Us All,,,Of Whatever It Was,,,That You Used To Be,,,
And I Shall Always Remember You,,,When I Drive By This Spot On The Road,,,That You Left Here For Me,,,
From Now On,,,Or At Least Untill,,,The Next Roadkill Comes Along,,,
