It Is What It Is
I’m an empath,
so I feel everything.
You can say you’re fine,
but I know better.
I absorb your energy
and then I feel it,
between us,
it’s a tether..
It is what it is though, right?
You don’t have to tell me that you need help.
I already knew before you did..
I’m coming to save you from the burning building you reside in,
like you were a helpless kid.
I’ll put myself in danger, a thousand times over..
If it meant that I could have you safe and sound..
But will there be reciprocity
when you’re up, and I’m down?
It is what it is..
But, I refuse to accept that.
It is what it is..
Sick of the minor setbacks..
It is what it is..
It just is, what it is…
