Inspired by the pro-hindu/anti-muslim sentiment in India at the moment, but I don't need to tell intelligent readers all of the examples of religious misuse and abuse.

If the faith of violent religious extremists was as sincere as they believe, then they should be secure in the knowledge that God will bring those that he wills to faith. By resorting to violence they are presuming to do God's job in Man's way is my simplest view.
