Mercury Is Rising
Mercury is rising
The crickets whizzing
I hear the hissing
As of a pan sizzling..
***
It is stark soundless
A landscape speechless
A visible sweetness
Mingled with a moment
Idyllic and timeless
***
On the pine forest border
Whence the pathways meander
Through the hill and upward
Blessed shepherds in rapture
***
Flat and far s
Stretch the plains
wheat, barley and summer grains
Fill the true eye with wisdom
Give the weary heart the balsam
***
Mercury is ever rising
And the sun, upward rocketing
And the shadows drawing short
i feel the season on mountain top
***
I stray hither and thither
A gypsy soul in mild weather
A tune of romance whispered
A grasshopper over there skipped
***
His wings flutter like a paper
From a pink story-line were torn
Where gently on a stone it lands...
***
Wild flowers, edible herbal plants
Grow strong under a high boulder
Safely nestled inside the stones
Giving aroma, and sunny reflection
***
A wee lizard stealthily snakes
Greenish inside a tiny hole
Between the rocks there is motion
There is life, there is a poetic action
