But competence is where it's at  
if what you want is self esteem  
and trolling voters tit for tat  
won't ever realize that dream.  
   
So scrutinize those ways and means  
the high and mighty know so well  
to see how envy intervenes  
on the trail to high brow hell.  
   
Which you may think is full of shit  
because you can't pronounce a word  
or recall one with zest and wit  
since you thought learning was absurd.  
   
Truth is, you'd like to be elite,    
but stupid is as stupid does,
