A Song To The Joys Of Summer

The golden fields sway gently in the breeze
Under summer caress, like waving seas
And the mowers toiling; all day have been
That wheat and barley shall give glowing sheen

May has ways how to ripen and to burn
How to soften the heat, make it less stern
When the season calls for scythes to be sharp
The harvest is music, like playing harp

Sun' diapason sets the harvest rhythm
Crickets and grasshoppers spice the anthem
Under hot sun rays, wheat is the emblem
Chant for the golden fields as we cut 'em

When summer comes lets gather too much sun
We feel warm when tomorrow, summer's done
