A Song To The Joys Of Summer

The golden fields sway gently in the breeze  
Under summer caress, like waving seas  
And the mowers toiling; all day have been  
That wheat and barley shall give glowing sheen  
 
May has ways how to ripen and to burn  
How to soften the heat, make it less stern  
When the season calls for scythes to be sharp  
The harvest is music, like playing harp  
 
Sun' diapason sets the harvest rhythm  
Crickets and grasshoppers spice the anthem  
Under hot sun rays, wheat is the emblem  
Chant for the golden fields as we cut 'em  
 
When summer comes lets gather too much sun  
We feel warm when tomorrow, summer's done
