Cutting it fine - NaPoWriMo 13

Why exactly do we cut the grass?
This,
and other such musings
run through my head
as I push the lawnmower around.
Doing a two step back shuffle
to avoid cutting the electric cable
and thereby cutting my lifeline.

Well,
it cant be for the earthy smell,
a nicely trimmed lawn looks nice
but it is somewhat short
on the natural enjoyment.

At least it is an excuse
to catch some Sun
and feel like a hard-working manual labourer for once.
