sunflower
setting the tempo I begin to flow
gentle honey relieving some stress
reaching for the skies, I touch blue
releasing my sorrow into the atmosphere
picking up the joy of the natural world
doing what it was intended to do
flowers swaying in the wind
birds singing, springtime mating
they mate for life and so do I
my soulmate and I reuniting slowly
to love this way is to hurt
to laugh you must also cry
confronted with my heart I realize
my sincerity is altered
I get saddened then I refocus
Beauty is available for those who look for her
even in the wickedest soul, there is something beautiful
concentrating on the positive I dream
of better days with my love in the garden
nature hasn't betrayed me she is honest
the green and the blue of it still exist brand new everyday
I will wait for the latter rain to revive me
my melancholy a symptom of my sorrow
I introduce Sorrow to the garden
she peeks around and finds her place among the sunflowers
