Image for the poem Waiting

Waiting

I wanted to claim you
You were not ready
Tried to tame you
You were not ready
Take you and break you
Not Ready

To be tied
You were ready.
To feel the sting of an unrelenting riding crop
You were ready.
When my hand went around your throat your eyes fluttered so beautifully in complete surrender.
You were more than ready.
I’ll wait for you because I’m ready.
