As I Am
Your love, it spoke a different language—a dialect of depth and acceptance that I had never been versed in
With every word, every gesture, every moment you shared;
you dismantled the fortress I had built around my spirit, brick by bitter brick
You became my mirror reflecting not the fragmented visage I had come to expect, but a being worthy of love, of happiness, of a chance to be whole
And in that reflection: I found the truth that had eluded me, the simple, profound revelation that I was enough
Your love, unintentionally, became my salvation. It lifted me from the mire of my doubts, setting me on a path of self-discovery, where each step was a little lighter, a little more sure
You saved me from myself: from the lies I had internalized, and in doing so, you gifted me the greatest of all treasures: the belief that I, too, could be loved as I am
