The best place to cry

2/30 NaPo write

When the station wagon parks
with its tire tight on my chest
and the dragons that should be
asleep have all refused to rest.

If all the lonely syllables need to stay unsaid
when I can't form a feeling for your words,
then throw a blanket over questions in our bed,
this colour draws attention from the herd.

Then I will put my dishes in to soak
detergent helps me disperse my lies,
and choke beneath the fishes as they float,
as I'm washed up and left to drain then dry.
