self criticism cuts deeper
clear design of hurt
suffering finds a way
to bludgeon the psyche
brutally senseless

visions through tears
distorts what is seen
dead eyes come in waves
splintered hearts hit walls
leaving bloody graffiti
for all that see

darkness holds tighter still
talons ripping sensitive skin
life's disasters keep on coming
nothing explains this mounting fear
hear muffled screammin'
