Prayer of Confession
Last night, my lips spoke the
pleasing words of deceit to a
man who was not my husband.
I have strayed from the path of fidelity,
seeking sexual gratification in
the arms of a stranger.
As my bed linens hold the stains of a man's lust,
my feeble words of confession hold the stain of hypocrisy.
Surely, there can be no mercy for me.
