Sacrament of the Present

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
 Rumi

As she accepted the sacrament of the present moment,
she embraced darkness and light, life, and death.
As her body and spirit was joined to another,
she found the wisdom of 'both/and' over 'either/or.'

She prayed silently, Let me be receptive to all that is.
And then, with the gentle pulsing of her hips in repeated acts of
giving and receiving, she whispered a soft “yes” to life.

I'm going to share this with my friend who is struggling with infidelity. And, I take some lessons from Rumi, too.
