I Loved A Man

Who was proven unworthy
Filled with such undeniable fury
Who cast me in a mother's role
To which I had so deplored

So he stood there all undressed
Not giving thought to all he kissed her
As though she was nothing but a whore
He made his hand into a fist, shaking it in defiance

Wasn't a lover that he sought
For all the love that he has not
Never crossing his t's or ending
His i's with a dot
I loved a man whose love was fraught
So filled with anger and evil thoughts

This man I loved, I wish I'd not
