Blind
The goddess Poetry
whispered in my ear
told me I should versify
everything I hear
She said time was running out
with Earth's candle burning low
and if we didn't change our ways
a fuse was bound to blow
So I wandered
through the mountains
In the valleys wars were raging
watched innocence lie drowning
in seas of greed and hatred
Beyond the Devil and the damned
destruction bleeds man's fate
We have to turn our world around
before it gets too late
We could stop it with two words
that no-one dares to speak
all too busy making money
lives blind to love and peace
whispered in my ear
told me I should versify
everything I hear
She said time was running out
with Earth's candle burning low
and if we didn't change our ways
a fuse was bound to blow
So I wandered
through the mountains
In the valleys wars were raging
watched innocence lie drowning
in seas of greed and hatred
Beyond the Devil and the damned
destruction bleeds man's fate
We have to turn our world around
before it gets too late
We could stop it with two words
that no-one dares to speak
all too busy making money
lives blind to love and peace
