It's indeed written from the submissive side, since I am submissive.

"make me a shadow, a sacrifice of chrome" > shadow and chrome are shades of grey, that's what started this poem, though with shadow I tried to objectify myself, so your interpretation was right. As for the resistance and strength of chrome: I think I wrote that more sub-consciously than intentionally.
