there’s always some kerfuffle
& I simply wanted, lord emsworth like, a little peace and quiet, for him to read his book upon the rearing of pigs, and for me to stay up writing half the night.

What a great word! kerfuffle
Some people just can't live without drama, Paul. They need it to feel something. You can always tell by how manic they act afterward.

The deepest readers, those with attention spans we might measure in astronomical units, are a fading breed of humanity.

Re. there’s always some kerfuffle
I always learnt it as spelt "kerfluffle" -- or should that be ... learned it as spelled "kerfluffle" --- English was my worst grade 'O'-level. Anyway, I went scurrying to do some research and found a definition that:
"Kerfluffle: a commotion or fuss, typically caused by a trivial matter.
Kerfuffle: a disorderly outburst or tumult."
... but they are used interchangeably, kerfuffle the most common spelling. It originated in Scotland.
Either way, peace and quiet suits me fine.
O.K, that's me done.
