Listening to the Night-with Adagio

The day descends with tender moments
of my remembrance of yesteryears
when innocence and tranquility
made me revel the beauty nature unveiled
tapestry of colours heaven blended
with divine brush and master strokes
golden light on hillsides
mirror the ethereal blushing sky
twilight lowers its curtain
and pillows filled my longing embrace

beneath the canopy of silence exhaling
rekindled by memories of yesterday's pastels
and the paddle wheel of the grinding mill
with poetic oxygen of the autumn's breath
listening to the caravel of nature's falling leaves
ringing the sounds of the feathered-down
from the towers of trees over blue yonder
with boughs dripping a sundown hue
genuflecting to shadows, whispering prayers
wearing sandals
