what hope feels like

I'm scared to take the leap,    
if I jump will you jump too?    
or will you catch me on the way down?    
can we take this slow and watch the flowers grow?    
   
I'm scared, are you scared too?    
I see the hesitation in your pregnant pauses,    
I've read some of the pain you've lived through,    
I'm terrified to ever add to it, but so afraid I'll never have you.    
   
I'm scared, will you be scared with me?    
I want to hear your laugh, and see your smile,  
feel your embrace, inhale your aroma, and taste your lips.
I want to go on adventures, try new foods, and incessantly ask you all of the questions forever and ever.
I want to experience you, will you have me too?
