Some Shingles Fall on Turd

self-proclaimed clever aiming to impress
shouts about thinking outside the box
he thinks he is keen speaking sharpness
in every words he accentuates his boasts

he has academic degrees from universities
maybe he has garnered many PHDs
maybe he has them in prints
on his clean white BVDs

he sounds so intelligent such flair
maybe he can charm words of the air
every speech is made confidently
even though sometimes it shows his stupidity

he is wordy and floats on his own dunghill
trying to bend others to his will
every thoughts he shares are foolish
like bubbles of farts in the breeze

we double over in silent laughter
as he stands on the soapbox
pontificating about the difference
between him and the stampeding herd

but we learn humility and kindness
from his stupidity and brashness
for we must never be judgmental
he could be any of us.
