Sunshiny Day

easy sorrow, today is a beautiful day
I understand your desire to paint things melancholy
but today I'm going to kiss the sky
and give reverence to the beauty I see

the garden flowers worship the sun
and the weeds too
the moist earth giving birth to seedlings

the trees so solemn
history is contained in their branches
they whisper quietly among themselves
hush now they may be telling you a secret

the dandelions a delight decorating the grass
everything in a symbiotic relationship with one another
the birds and the bees

natures glory to behold
as the wind caresses the skin
blowing gently across the fields
a day to daydream looking at the clouds
