Wind-Strewn Moss

Across the forest-wind-strewn moss
of winter's snow, she came to me
carpeting forest with fingers of green
stretching her boughs for me to see
in the gleam of white, she sang softy
turning the silence into sounds
across the forest-wind-strewn moss
