precisely - this is well into the 21st century, and still not yet any flying cars? Jeez, how could they get it so wrong? (or maybe the technology is just being sat upon)

We went from the Jetsons to getting jettisoned by politics, the economy and whatever social influencer is king of the hill at this moment

I think the advancement of society has slowed because there’s too much toxicity. Then again probably the optimism of the past expected too much from the future.
