Listening to footsteps
whispering bye and bye
reading your lips
with voices down the hall
chilled even in a sweater
old tunes cry
like a broken music box
as we danced in memories
listening to footsteps...
under the linden tree
white flowers showers of confetti
wrapped in scents of citrus
caressing the silky fragrance of jasmine
a symphony of nature's orchestra
I dance under love's limelight
gently swaying to the divine
music that colors the wind

It's kinda on a loop in how these scenes seem to unfold from the past to the present but somehow always remain connected to those old tunes that cry. I tried explaining how this reads & feels to me, lol.
