Stitching A Soul
" The secret of happiness, you see, is not found in seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less" - Socrates
Memory is a seamstress.
Tinsel moments of sheer heaven
and tormented moments of hell,
Stitch them together
to make a soul.
Where there should be meaning
was left a hole.
Purpose is searched and scavenged
on each of our individual roads.
Is blinding blissful ignorance
a more comfortable load?
Maybe the meaning is there is simply none.
Just keep collecting fabric
from your moments of sun.
To warmly patch the agonizing ones.
