A Duet of Desires

You crave the untamed,
A wild beast in the night's embrace,
Passionate machinery, a rhythmic chase.

Yet with the dawn's gentle light,
You seek kindness, a softer sight.

A heart, emotionally inclined,
But, my love, I can only be defined
By one nature's pull, not both combined.

Choose your desire, if you dare,
In this mode, the beast is slowly taking glare.

Author's Note
In crafting this poem, I sought to delve into the intricate tapestry of human desires and the internal conflicts that often accompany them. The metaphorical journey of a wild beast in the night, contrasted with the softer, kinder yearnings at dawn, serves as a reflection of the dual nature within us all. The narrative unfolds as a personal plea, addressing the complexities of emotions and the challenging choices one must confront in the face of conflicting desires. Through these verses, I invite readers to explore their own internal landscapes and ponder the profound decisions that shape the essence of who we are.
