Phoenix

Fighting gruesome battles
Raging inside me
Enemies of solace
Endlessly haunt me

Braving righteous sword
Bleeding through the way
Facing evil demons
Determined to never sway

From temptations to needs
To greed and jealousy
They come one by one
I slay them away

With every battle
I die to rise again
My spirit renews
To face the pain
