Flash, pop, the moment stops
It seems as though all eyes are on me
Attempts to avoid the paparazzi
Don't always end successfully
Should life exist in a black and white world
Where things seem to be written in stone
Not shades of grey but absolutes
To be felt deep inside your fragile bones

Some poets use words as poetry prompts but I find art far more appealing to me. I love looking at a picture and let it "speak to me" if you will. I "listen" then I write what comes to mind.

I absolutely love this. The depth. Most people think it's either black or white. Life is not just black and white, there are a great many shades of gray. I like how you started it too.

Your poem makes me think how maybe lord might be more streamlined in black and white. That grey area is so invasive most times. But in the end, color offers a lot more options and that’s better. I really enjoyed the many point of thought we could think and talk about in this poem. You are a master!!! 😊
