Walls Between Us

When I opened the door to my cabin, I was met with a summer kiss by the love that one day would say goodbye
I write haiku and a dotted napkin, waiting for the bill
three glasses of wine and a packet of fags
At the outdoor cafe, I tried to remember many experiences I have had, seen, or read about for an odd
the reason I remember the read better than the lived
this, I think, was when living through high drama
I was usually pissed
At a pavement cafe, I tried to piece together the many threads of my life, if I could tie the threads together in
a long, unbroken line, I might be able to write a story
of my life, much was given to me, and an abundance of love
a fear I will lose it all for a bagatelle.
Through the din of stillness, a voice asks for another glass of wine served by a grim-faced who I heard telling a man, with a placard, had never had a drink of alcohol poor man, he had no natural charm
I no longer live in the forest, in a cabin by a lake where
Huldra (female troll) tries to seduce and drown me.
I never had a garden with flowers and an almond tree
I think of robot sex, one that has a vulva made of silk
When I die, the robot will lie beside me
when we found brittle bones and a can of oil
rusting metal and repair tools, it will be proof
that a sentient too can feel the wonder of love
