I'll Never Forget ( was entered in a thread)

Her eyes are like rich Carmel
Her skin the color of warm milk chocolate
Thick dark curly hair she always kept in pigtails
Her smile infectious
Her words of wisdom, sage
Her name is Mary and she was my best friend

My mother thought it was best I not know
At only seven she knew what was best for me.
In a moment of strife, her intention to maim
My sister blurred it out
And my heart simply stopped.
My small world changed for ever

In that one moment in time
One slip of the tongue
 took everything from me
I lost my best friend, never to find another
My faith in my mother was ruined
And my relationship with my sister would never heal.
