Something's wrong

Verse 1
You and I, never gonna fly
Oh no, not at all, there's just something wrong
but I see those tears falling in perfect rhythm,
our broken hearted song.
Grab my hand and lets dance, one last romance.

Chorus
I don't think it's you honey, it's really not
love was just something we sadly never got.
Maybe, just maybe, we'll fix each other
but somehow I don't think we'll remain lovers.
Teach me to sing with the words of your song
and I'll help you find your way along....

Verse 2
You don't need it, and I no longer want it
but I just somehow cant quit
trying to find a place, a place to belong.
In your lips I taste it, something is wrong
but here we are, here we stand, just as planned
on the edge of nothing
always hoping to find something.

Chorus

Verse 3
It's not right, what we did tonight.
But it didn't stop our longing
and yet it became more of an ache
attempting to stop our heartbreak
yet nothing we could do would patch our holes
that have become worn into our souls.
Yes, I guess it's been true all along
you and I baby, we were what's wrong.

Chorus

Outro
In another time or place, we could probably face
the music and acknowledge the truth
but not in this world, we have no couth
seeking our own fame and fortune
never stopping to see the baggage we bring along
when we ignore the fact, something is wrong.
