Lucky

The tensions were rising
We were arguing
I don't know about what
I ran outside
The sky was full of planes
I saw one in flames, shot

It was then with horror
That i realised
We were at war
I ran back inside
To shocked to speak, petrified
I collapsed to the floor

The terror coursed through me
This nightmare had come true
The brutality of man
Kill slay, kill murder
Ultimate destruction
As he resorts to his nuclear plan

I knew there, and then
This was the beginning
Of the end
i cried in despair
As i knew the damage from this
It would never, ever, mend

I never found out the outcome
As the war raged on
Right through the night
With the terror
And the reality of it all
I luckily died from fright
