Quill In The Wind

The Drifting Quill

To the pinnacle of conviction
And too deepest core of devotion
The quill with an inked paper
Are the very tickets to oblivion

Just peeling one's skin away
From the world of everyday
Waist-deep soaked into ink
Leading a gypsy life on the brink

Hello solitude my dear pen-friend !
You are the best ever again and again
Sadness to my life softly creeping
Left its seeds while i was rhyming

But now, let me then weigh the load
Of all those words on the laden shelf
Are they worth all the pain given
Are they worth all the years lived?

So much hours in darkness depleted
My strength my precious time exhausted
I failed what the words were meant to be
I failed in my mission towards humanity..
