Image for the poem My Hardened Blade

My Hardened Blade

In my hands are legends etched in steel,
A bolo knife with histories to reveal,
Once wielded by a hero bold and just,
In battles fought, where honor placed her trust.

But in a twist of fate no one could see,
She trusted in my love to set her free.
When she said, "Please come inside"
She felt my hardened blade and softly cried.
