Beneath the Shroud of Sorrow's Veil

In the depths of sorrow's endless sea,
Where the waves of despair crash over me,
I'm lost in a world so cold and gray,
Where hope has long since slipped away.

The weight of sadness bears down like lead,
A heavy cloud that engulfs my head,
I search for solace, but it's hard to find,
In this bleak landscape of a troubled mind.

The world outside is a distant dream,
As I'm trapped in this relentless stream,
Of tears that fall like rain from a stormy sky,
And all I can do is wonder why.

The days are long, the nights are longer still,
As I navigate this labyrinth of ill will,
My heart is heavy, my spirit worn,
In this never-ending night, I'm torn.

But even in the darkest depths of despair,
There's a glimmer of hope, a breath of air,
For sadness, too, shall have its end,
And in its wake, a chance to mend.

Though this journey may be filled with pain,
There's a strength in facing the darkest strain,
And when the clouds of sorrow finally part,
I'll find a way to heal my broken heart.
