On the Shoreline

In the porcelain twilight dark flambé
the ocean washed my fears away.

I met you there 'neath evening skies
your lips drew out my little sighs

O'er flaming dusk- red, sunset flashes
touch me, kiss me--welling passion

Deeper than the waves can go,
further into me, you flow

and every promise that you speak,
my soul is yours, upon the beach.

All emotion you exude,
I return, tenfold to you

until the last of daylight's done
we drown, we sink, we become, one.
