Seeking Beauty
Eyes deep hazel
Peering into mine
A mesh of roots
Rings of wisdom
Aged like wine
Tender soul
Nestled within
And a resolve
Sturdy like oak
Pupils black like death
And sprouting forth into iris
Earthly tendrils of life
Lonely as a willow seems
Yet lies deeper still
The apple of the eye
Shines brighter than any sun
A life lived stored in a single blink
Beauty lies in the eyes
Peering into mine
A mesh of roots
Rings of wisdom
Aged like wine
Tender soul
Nestled within
And a resolve
Sturdy like oak
Pupils black like death
And sprouting forth into iris
Earthly tendrils of life
Lonely as a willow seems
Yet lies deeper still
The apple of the eye
Shines brighter than any sun
A life lived stored in a single blink
Beauty lies in the eyes
