melancholy breathe
insulted grief what do you have to do with me?
in the eternal scorn I hurt too
make some room for my sorrow
melancholy is on her knees
such a painful little sprite
sadness speaks of my loneliness
it is a sad tale
commingling in the doubt cast by the shadow of a man
I am sacrifice taking your hand
lending you some comfort in your distress
coffee and cigarettes
choking on my humiliation to be so needful
tiny redeemer is faith in you
salting my wounds are my confessions
a word at a time breaking the chain of shame
seeding my self esteem with hope
nurture is the offering of some man
succor to the want
talking to the madness you usher it back
the walls topple
and I am freed

I don't get it! Lol. Unless you are simply saying you trust your own judgment and if others wanna discuss your problems with you over coffee & cigarettes, that's just fine too. I really did pour over this one, giving it all the scrutiny I could muster. Haha. I just hope you are happy with my somewhat drunken findings. ;-)

What's insulted grief for starters? Is it grief that no one else understands?

Maybe we should discuss this tomorrow or maybe I could pretend I'm Melvyn Bragg (My pretend Dad, btw) & interview you on some fancy art programme, like 'The South Bank Show' that used to run in the UK in the 1980s & beyond.
Wouldn't we just love that? Me in my pinstriped suit, cross-legged, all serious & all with my hand on my chin with the opening line...
'So... tell me crimsin, what was the inspiration behind your latest poem..?'

hello Billy sorry for the confusing poem really it's about dealing with mixed emotions over opening up to someone...then the ending of the poem is being grateful for the person...
Re: Re. melancholy breathe
Let's fucking film this then, lol! The interview. It'll be a breeze. We can insert some dodgy home movie footage & poetry slam stage stuff, then I think we'll have at least half an hour's worth of content there, lol. I'm sorry. But... I don't see why it can't be done & it would be immensely fun! :-)

That second stanza feels very relatable, still unique to your style and experience but one that convenes the emotions many of us may have felt at one time or another.
Nicely done.
