Cloud Dancers

twilight's gentle hue made me recall
a time when you were earth bound
talking me out of my despair
encouraging me to live and love again

truly I learnt to love you then
a voice I hear, a face I see
but I cannot touch
I waited for you in my twilight hours
just to hear your voice again

in my mind we danced
under magical moonlight
your eyes sparkling with star light
our feet in synch with ethereal music

But alas destiny had its own design
fate wove its thread cruelly
at first you left to dance with another
and then you flew away in golden dusts
